We had a wonderful experience using Smokey Wood Farm for our wedding venue. The prime draw is their beautiful outdoor space and their ability to give you the weekend to your wedding. (Many venues churn through as many weddings as they can. Smokey Wood is a farm first, venue second.) We enjoyed the green, lush field, the flowers, the sounds of neighing horses, and the tranquil atmosphere. Also, it is VERY close to hotels and restaurants and is incredibly easy for people to get to. You'll feel like you're in the country when you're really 5 minutes from Redmond Town Center.
We stayed at the wonderful cottage on-site. It has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. It is a great place to stage things and get ready for the wedding. Plus, the refrigerator can fit a cake that feeds 150 people!
The venue manager, Stacey, is very clear about what is provided and what is not. For example, there is no kitchen on-site. This venue is perfect for anyone who wants a food truck, or caterer who can work out of a food truck. She also suggested renting a golf cart to help their guests get around the farm since there is a short walk from parking area to reception area to ceremony area. I highly recommend this, since you never know which of your guests will have mobility issues. She can also suggest rental companies for portable bathrooms that are ADA accessible.
Basically, this venue is beautiful and a great deal- it includes tents, tables, and chairs. You can add in any of the extras you choose using third party vendors (see my suggestions above). We had a day-of coordinator to help us with the third-party vendor logistics and the day went incredibly smoothly.
PS- In July, the ceremony site goes into the shade right after 4pm! :)
