I highly recommend EMS University - Union City campus. My daughter took the EMT Bootcamp from EMSU-Union City, CA in May 2024 and has had a very positive experience. The Union City Manager Ms. Linder Travis tried her best to make the class so worthwhile to attend for every student. Right after my daughter registered for the class, Linda sent study materials and required tests and forms so that my daughter had enough time to prepare for the class ahead of time. Great program! did the boot camp and would definitely recommend if you have a baseline understanding of first responder/medical terminology.
Based on convivence alone they deserve 5 stars. I have used EMS University for my last two renewals and their classes are as good as online classes can get. Like all online classes this style of training comes with a few drawbacks like a lack of hands on and sometimes that makes details of objects etc to really hard to see. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this class to experienced providers. I will use them again.
Taking this class with this instructor was the most positive experience of my life. Even if you don't want to be in an ambulance and are just curious about EMS- I cannot recommend this class strongly enough. The greatest instructor I have ever ever EVER met.
I found the recertification program very helpful and inline with my needs. The instructions were a little challenging but easily overcome. A few areas were outdated but probably align with the NREMT requirements. I did enjoy the instructor and we had a really good group of folks with a lot of knowledge. I recommend the program. One thing, it DOES NOT INCLUDE skills assessment as need in my state. That is extra and you will need to sign up for it.
