Worst school I’ve ever been to. I had initially signed up for traditional in person classes and the class was on a zoom call when we had arrived. We didn’t learn anything or set anything up the first day due to technical difficulties. Administration and EMSU customer service are extremely hard to get a hold of and when I finally was able to get a hold of customer service they told me there’s nothing much they can do and they would forward my message to managers (which they never did) . This is the absolute worst possible school you can go to for EMS training or to try and get certified. I had initially signed up for traditional in person classes. When I arrived on the first day of class I was surprised to find that most of the class was on a zoom call located in the Houston area. Most of the class was spent experiencing technical difficulties and we learned nothing. A completely awful experience. Management continued to switch and change. You pay for a course that states in person/hands on, but they can’t maintain instructions or even administrative employees. They continue to lose your documents and blame you for the way their company is ran. Completed skills over 6 months ago but the company has yet to maintain any type of contact or attempts to schedule ride outs no matter how many times you reach out. I attended this school for their fast track EMT-B course. I finished all the course requirements in October of 2023 and almost 4 months later I have finally been approved to test. They did not show any sense of urgency or empathy toward my situation. You can call, email and show up at the school looking for answers and they will take their sweet time helping you. This is the first time I've taken an EMT refresher course through EMS University. It has been very convenient, the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, and I've learned things from both the instructors and other students. My experience with them has been great.
