Why 3 Stars : I was over the 10 day cancellation period by 5 days and I was still permitted to cancel my contract. I feel that this courtesy deserves 3 stars. I did sign the contract and it was my fault I didn't do more of my own due diligence. What follows is why I could not in good conscience go over 3 Stars. Paying Double $$ : I am currently paying $2.23 / GJ. The Contract Price was $6 / GJ. That means for my next bill I would have had my eyes pop out as my bill more than doubled. Fixed rate is just that. 5 years I have had the same equalized monthly payment. Awesome.

With the way gas prices have been climbing in the last year and a half I was skeptical at first signing a contract I explained to the agent I had all my old bills for the last two years. The agent suggested I go get them and being on equilpayment I didn’t notice much of a difference in my bill. I was using well over 7GJ for my local business! They were able to lock me in at 6.50GJ which has helped me save a bit of money!
The person who came to my door explained clearly what was involved and only asked to see my most recent ******Gas bill to check the rate I have been paying. I don't know yet if the price will go down as I just signed up and it's summer, so NO gas usage right now. I will be looking at my price once I need the furnace again.
I spoke with Easy Energy regarding their price protection plan. Given current global circumstances I felt now is a good time to enrol. I see no downside due to the low price guaranteethey offer.
