I am a regular customer and have always had positive experiences at Ambrosia, that is, until today. An employee said she could not let me test a sunscreen I was considering without first buying it. I replied that I would absolutely commit to buying one after opening it, but needed to test it to know if I should buy two. She kept repeating store policy: that I had to purchase the product first. This meant going to the cash, holding up the line, opening the product, and testing it in front of all the other customers. This is a grocery and largely health supply store. I was surprised at the ratio of fresh product and grocery to dry goods including food, spices, snacks, supplements, cleaners, pet items, frozen items, baby, books, beauty, etc. I did think there would be more fresh foods. Unlike most stores selling groceries, this store charges 5 cents for each shopping beg during COVID. This despite the fact that the store charges much more for many items than other stores including Whole Foods. Fir example, they charge about $1 (20%) more for Oat Milk. The store offers 1 hour free parking in the underground parking. When I was in (about 1pm), there were very few customers in the store and plenty of polite employees. They have good variety of many products

Today, I noticed some new signs on the little driveway behind, on a way to the underground parking, driver cannot pass thru, etc. that was odd, but I didn't think much of it. As I was leaving on my way above underground, I pulled aside for two minutes with blinkers on, not blocking traffic in any way, I needed to check phone map which way to go, as I couldn't get connected underground, ... read more

This is my go-to store for organic and natural foods. Since I eat 90% organic foods, it's hard to find the selection I am looking for, but I can count on Ambrosia to have lots of variety. The produce is always fresh and lots to choose from. The selection is equally good on the shelves as well. The staff are friendly and most are knowledgeable. I would have given them 5 stars but I am not happy about the delivery service. They started delivering during COVID. When they were delivering their own groceries, the turn around tim... read more
