First time at Ambrosia and what a great experience. I was looking for elderberry syrup to help get rid of a recently acquired cold. I asked where it was located and a lovely woman brought me right to the area and the syrup was on sale to boot. Not sure if it’s done on purpose but I noticed the lighting was muted creating a very tranquil environment as well. I’ll definitely be back!
I generally go here every week. Staff is courteous and polite. I had to return a product for some reason. Manager Steph and her team made the process very smooth. Glad she accepted my bank debit card statement as proof of payment for my purchase as I didn't have the receipt. Appreciate that. Coz I know the receipt duplicate can be printed from their system if we know the date and time of purchase. Nice store with interesting products. Higher prices than other grocery stores but understandable as products are very natural and unique. Sadly it felt unwelcoming as I was being watched very closely. Saw many sings about shoplifting and having cameras around so I assume this store has had many shoplifting incidents which is a shame but it's not a reason to observe and follow customers around. I purchased a watermelon from Ambrosia, but when I got home and cut it open, it was completely spoiled, and water leaked out. I decided to return it to the store, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the receipt. I understand the store’s policy doesn’t allow refunds without a receipt, so I wasn’t expecting one. I just wanted to speak to the manager about the quality of their produce. A staff member informed me that they would escalate the issue to their product manager, which I appreciated. One of the worst places to shop. I had two incidents happen with me. The first incident was that I came three minutes before the shop was about to close and I saw like a bunch of the representatives standing there like statues just waiting for that 9 o’clock to happen.
